Historians

These are suggestions for points that you could address:

• Did any other authors write similar publications at around the same time?
• What were the technological capabilities of computers at the time? e.g. computing power, manufacturing processes, communication rates or latency, storage capacities.
• Were there any pressing industrial, military or societal issues at the time that may have influenced the paper?
• Who were the authors? Can you find out anything interesting about their personal or professional lives?
• Were there any competing methodologies that did not gain traction long-term? Why?
